Terms of Use
Welcome to icodeacademy.org, operated by iCode Academy Inc. (“iCode Academy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
These Terms of Use govern access to and use of our website. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree to these terms, please discontinue use of the website.
1. Website Purpose
Our website provides information about medical billing and coding education, certification preparation, externships, continuing education, and related services.
Website content is provided for educational and informational purposes. It is not individualized medical, legal, financial, or professional coding advice.
2. Permitted Use
You may use the website for lawful personal purposes, including exploring programs, requesting information, scheduling consultations, and accessing resources made available to you.
You agree not to:
-
Use the website for unlawful, fraudulent, or misleading activities.
-
Attempt to access accounts, systems, or information without authorization.
-
Introduce malware or interfere with website functionality.
-
Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation.
-
Submit harassing, threatening, discriminatory, or unlawful content.
-
Copy, distribute, or commercially exploit protected materials without permission.
-
Collect other users’ personal information without authorization.
-
Use automated tools to disrupt the website or bypass access restrictions.
3. Program Information and Enrollment
Program descriptions, schedules, fees, and availability may change. Changes affecting enrolled students are subject to their enrollment agreement and applicable law.
Submitting an inquiry or scheduling a consultation does not guarantee admission or reserve a place in a program.
Enrollment may be governed by a separate agreement covering tuition, payment obligations, attendance, materials, completion requirements, cancellations, and refunds. If that agreement conflicts with these terms on a program-specific matter, the enrollment agreement controls.
4. Certification and Career Outcomes
Our training programs may prepare students for examinations administered by independent credentialing organizations. Completing a course does not automatically confer a professional certification.
Certification eligibility, examination requirements, continuing education acceptance, and credential maintenance are determined by the relevant organization.
Unless expressly stated in a separate written agreement, iCode Academy does not guarantee:
-
Passing a certification examination.
-
Employment or job placement.
-
A particular salary or income.
-
A remote or work-from-home position.
-
Acceptance of continuing education credits by a particular organization.
Career assistance supports your job search. Employment decisions remain with employers, and individual outcomes vary.
5. Intellectual Property
Website text, designs, graphics, logos, videos, and educational materials are owned by iCode Academy or used with permission, except where otherwise identified.
You may view materials and download resources expressly offered for that purpose, subject to any accompanying conditions. This permission does not transfer ownership or authorize resale, redistribution, or public posting.
Third-party names and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Their appearance does not imply an affiliation or endorsement unless expressly stated.
6. Accounts and Restricted Resources
If account access is offered, you must provide accurate information and protect your login credentials.
Do not share access to restricted course resources unless expressly permitted. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized account use.
Account access may be suspended for misuse or security concerns. Any action affecting paid course access remains subject to the applicable enrollment agreement and law.
7. Information You Submit
Provide accurate information when completing forms, requesting consultations, or communicating with us. Submit only information you are authorized to provide.
Do not send identifiable patient records, Social Security numbers, or other sensitive information through general website forms. Use designated secure channels when requested.
Submitting an inquiry does not authorize us to publish your name, photograph, testimonial, or message as marketing content. Any such use requires separate permission.
8. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected, used, and disclosed.
These Terms of Use do not replace any consent required for marketing communications or other data practices.
9. Third-Party Websites and Services
The website may link to external websites or use third-party services for scheduling, payments, learning, or other functions.
Those services may have their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control their content or practices. Review their policies before using them.
10. Website Availability and Disclaimers
We aim to provide useful, accurate website information, but errors, interruptions, or outdated content may occur. Contact us if you need confirmation of program details.
To the extent permitted by law, the general website is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted access or error-free operation.
These provisions do not override express commitments in an enrollment agreement or rights that cannot legally be excluded.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, iCode Academy is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of, or inability to access, the general website.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, or gross negligence.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms and post the revised version on our website. Material changes will be communicated where required, and additional agreement will be obtained where necessary.
Updates do not automatically alter an existing enrollment agreement or apply retroactively to accrued rights.
13. Severability
If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
